My love for making things started really young.  My dad is a home builder and I have pictures of me as a toddler “helping” him mud Sheetrock. I continued my love for creating and making things by getting my interior design degree.

Years ago, while at my job we had a Christmas ornament contest.  I had seen an ornament on HGTV that I wanted to make.  It was a little kitty made with polymer clay sitting on top of a clear ball ornament with a fishing poll catching the fish that were hanging inside the ball.  That was my first experience with polymer clay and I loved it!  I began making polymer clay beads and jewelry with them.  When people saw them they enquired about purchasing them. So I began to sell my designs.  This was great because it meant I could create more jewelry.

My jewelry designs have evolved from the polymer clay beads I started with to using sterling silver, swarovski crystal and other materials. I have also learned to chainmaille as well as other techniques. Please check out my shop to see all the styles I make. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, convo me about a custom order.

For the past 7 years,my jewelry business has been a side job/hobby for me.  Last year our lives changed when our beautiful daughter was born and I became a stay at home mom.  I love being a home with my daughter and decided to really make a go at selling on Etsy so I can continue being a SAHM.

Custom requests are always welcomed. Please contact me at whitney@whitneys-designs.com with any requests. Thanks for looking!!!
